Lets hope Raspberry Pi leaves a similar legacy.

The Complete Rom Disassembly was a fantastic book. Heck I even decided to start writing books as a result (and failed dismally after a valiant effort of a few days).

I saved up and ordered the 48K expansion pack which was something like 4 chips you had to insert manually.

I seem to recall Dave’s one was harder than mine because he had a first generation Spectrum board and I didn’t get mine delivered until about 16 weeks later.

Large chunks of the memory were taken up with the screen and other out of bounds uses.

When typing in programs from magazines I had to judiciously leave out all manner of stuff so the programs would fit, especially comments. That is a skill still useful today!
