I’m glad I don’t live in America

Or maybe I do?

Gah. The turkeys have voted for Christmas.

    Religion

Ultimately we can thank religion for the resulting bullshit. Of course for all this religous nonsense, I would like them to show me their copy of the bible where the 10 commandments say “Thou shall not kill (*)” and the footnote “(*) Unless they are Iraqis, Afghans, people convicted of crimes they didn’t commit etc”.

And there real indication of how stupid the turkeys are. Something people outside the US may not be aware of is that the elections also included numerous state, country, city and district seats, as well as many propositions. Each voter was in fact having to make 30 to 40 seperate decisions.

The propositions are fun. They become law, and the government cannot change them, except by another proposition. Check out what Californians did and didn’t vote for:

(Yay, they can now keep anyone’s DNA)

And I am sure that the campaign for plain English would have a field day. I can’t work out what many of them are actually asking.

Note even number 72 which would have required companies to provide healthcare.

I believe they say people get the government they deserve. Very true.

The country might be full of intolerant relgious nutters, but the weather is quiet nice here. You can’t forget about that.
