Topical maths humour

Apparently one in four adults has difficulty with mental arithmetic.

I’d have said more than that… say one in five or one in six.

Note: that was a joke.

    Nadias

Memories of Nadias and their constant inability to add anything?

There is also the opposite of this problem where people have blind trust in their calculators or Excel. No matter what numbers they spew out, they are taken as must be true.

Also this one time at band camp first year university, I got 120% for the maths unit. The lecturer was doing all sorts of crap like grading on a curve, bonus points, adding base amounts etc so everyone would pass and not make him look bad. Didn’t actually address their bad math skills.
